Ms. Liz's Allies
After watching her students struggle with the tumultuous social, racial and political events of 2016 and constantly ask "what can we do?", 4th-grade teacher Liz Kleinrock decided to create a unique social justice lesson plan to introduce her young learners to the concepts of allies, advocates and bystanders, and in doing so gave them a toolset to be a force for positive change.

Charlotte Woods-IjeiThis is a teacher who isn't afraid to stretch her students. We have done Honoring All Voices with 4th graders in Parkway andtalked about the Holocaust, being who they need to be as an ally, what is a bystander, and what this looks like. They are eager to learn. Love our students who push us. Thanks for sharing Carol Lynn.
