Born and raised in Virginia, Lyndsay attended Radford University where she studied acting and directing and received her bachelor of science degree in theatre. Lyndsay spent some time after college working for theaters in the Triangle Area of North Carolina. During shows, she would sneak educational literature and read during performances. She was especially influenced by Carol Dweck’s Mindset. Opportunity presented itself to return to school when she and her husband located to Chico, California. She was accepted into California State University, Chico’s master of education program where she also received her multiple subjects credential. As a student, she spent a year co-teaching where she had a wonderful example of student-inquiry lead lessons and project-based learning. She conducted her research on instilling a growth mindset and grit in students. Upon completion of her program, she taught at a Waldorf-inspired charter school in Northern California before she and her husband relocated to Los Angeles.

Lyndsay is passionate about the arts and loves integrating visual and performing arts into the classroom. Always curious, she loves to help students explore their own curiosity and let their questions lead exploration. In her time away from the classroom, Lyndsay loves spending time with friends, family, and her mischievous cat, Marlowe. Lyndsay enjoys taking improv classes, cooking, impromptu dance parties, reading, and 90s music.
