Ms Audrey

3rd Grade Teacher

Audrey has had a lifelong affection for being in the classroom. She graduated with her B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State University, Northridge in 2012. Post completing her B.A., Audrey began working in public charter schools throughout Los Angeles as an instructional aid and after school program worker. In 2014, she relocated to the Bay Area to work towards receiving her M.A. in Urban Education and Social Justice at the University of San Francisco. Audrey received her preliminary credential in 2016, while volunteering and student-teaching in public schools throughout San Francisco during that time.

All of these experiences led Audrey through and continue to lead her down a path that seeks a more equitable and just educational system for diverse youth and family populations. She challenges herself daily to think critically about the world and is curious about how and why humans interact with one another the way they do. It is this awareness that she hopes to teach towards with her scholars. Audrey most recently taught Kindergarten and First Grade in Oakland Unified School District and in Los Angeles.

During her free time, Audrey loves to spend time with her family and loved ones, experience live music, read, and meditate on her mat. One of Audrey’s goals is to run her very first marathon in the near future!
